4 Things that Need to Be On Your Solo Bucket List

Getting out on your own is scary. It may be uncomfortable. But being uncomfortable doesn't have to be a bad thing... it means that you are growing. By pushing yourself in uncomfortable ways you can be capable of more. More self love. More opportunities. More. Here are the 4 things that you need to do solo before you die. The ultimate bucket list.

1. The most cliche first
date? Movies.
The whole idea of the movie theater is to sit in the dark and watch a film. So why is there a stigma against going alone? It's an activity in which you're not supposed to talk to anyone. I like to take this as an excuse not to HAVE to talk to anyone. I mean there's only upsides to this deal here. You get all the popcorn, all the treats, and no one can distract you. It's the ultimate solo activity.

2. Live music > shower speaker parties
One of the best things in the world is being able to blast music on a speaker while taking a shower. You know I can bust out any Ariana Grande song without missing a beat. But what's even better than that is singing along with her live. Finding a friend to go with you and figuring out schedules is such a hassle. It's honestly not worth it. There's nothing like those bright lights on your face and not having a care in the world. Go solo.

3. New place = New you
Have you ever thought about reinventing yourself? Moving out of your hometown? Learning a new language? Do it all. Take 6 months and just take off. I recently moved to across the country at 18 years old without knowing a single soul. It was the best decision of my life. Some serious character building took place that otherwise would've never happened. Stepping out of your "bubble" is so important.

4. Do something you've NEVER done before
Once a year I make it a goal to try a new hobby. I'm not talented at many things, but I like to believe that I have a lot of talent. The best way I know how to discover that potential is to go out there and find it myself. This year it was skateboarding. I went out to the mountains by myself (with my tripod of course) and learned, more like attempted to learn, how to ride. Growing is only possible through effort. No one can make you want to grow.
